“ Basic place that doesn't reflect a seaside location but they are one of the very few to offer Lobster Stew, which was excellent. One thing though, not enough meat in the bowl so I would recommend asking them about having double the meat. They seem agreeable to doing that so you may want to inquire. Would repeat:-) ”

I'd be remiss if I didn't reaffirm the high quality food, friendly and family like vibes/ambiance and acknowledge the freshness, deliciousness and value of the food that comes out of that kitchen. With a party of 6, each meal was cooked to perfection, delivered together and brought with a smile by a lovely young women (didn't get her name). The overall experience was memorable and Jake Rooney's continues to impress and exceed expectations. The bubbly keno woman brought me luck many times--Ann Marie was her name and she was the reason a few of us stayed after dinner for drinks and keno. Lovely place. Strongly recommended!! ”
“ Love Jake Rooney's! Usually eat at the bar. Food is consistently good. Bartenders/servers are attentive and friendly. Friendly atmosphere and clientele. Have also had family parties in the main dining room on 3 separate occasions. Buffet was plentiful and food delicious. Wait staff was exemplary with keeping liquor bills by person and serving tables. Always enjoy myself at Jake Rooney's! ”
“ When we walked in the door we were greeted by a very friendly hostess. We ended up sitting at the bar and both bartenders were friendly and attentive even though they were very busy. We started with poutine which was awesome. The food was reasonably priced and the portions were perfect. Definitely will return, so many more items that we would like to try on their menu. ”

“ + Sarah our bartender and server was excellent +Yummy Caesar Salad w Salmon +Good selection of beers on taps + nice live music (Sinatra singer) + good portion sizes and reasonable prices + hospitable, kind, and warm service + clean bathrooms + easy parking in the back Cons: -french fries were less cooked than would have liked- next time will ask for extra crispy or opt for a baked potato - was very busy so took a while to have waters refilled but they brought the pitcher when they did refill it! +you no longer have to ask for the special menu for the hot stone grill as of June 2022 they give it to you with the specials menu Get the caesar salad with salmon- it is always a generous portion and tasty ”
